Carousel Foundation
The Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation is an all-volunteer organization located in the community of Oakland Beach in the City of Warwick, RI.
Our Mission is to restore a bit of our past to the City of Warwick by returning a carousel to Oakland Beach. Unlike many carousels around the country, ours is being designed and constructed entirely by volunteers — dedicated people who are engaged in activities such as designing and carving carousel horses and chariots and painting murals for the carousel’s rounding boards.
The carousel’s building will resemble a screwpile lighthouse to complement its waterfront location. And once operating, the carousel will dedicate the net profits to a trust, which will assist qualified community groups throughout Warwick, who are working to improve their neighborhood.

Seawall Splash - 5th Annual Polar Plunge event to benefit the Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation
Greetings and Happy Holidays from the volunteers of the Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation. We hope that you will all join us for the 5th Annual Seawall Splash. There are few changes for this year that we're really excited about! We'll be joined on the beach by DJ Trey who will play some rockin' music to get us all in the mood for a dip in the bay. And we'll have some fabulous food available from Mijo's Tacos,Rocket Street Food and The Flour Girls - might as well put those New Year's resolutions right to bed! There will be gift baskets and Split-the-Pot raffles too. And of course, King Neptune will be there along with some of our hand-carved horses.
The funds we receive from donations at the Seawall Splash help us to continue to pay rent and purchase the supplies needed to hand-carve the carousel horses - all bringing us a step closer to our goal of building a new carousel for Warwick.
