Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation

Welcome!

We are the Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation,  an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization established in 1997 and located in Warwick, Rhode Island.  Our Mission is to revive a bit of our past in the City of Warwick by returning a merry-go-round to Oakland Beach.  In doing so, we aim to help our neighborhood thrive and grow into the future. 

Our dedicated volunteers are engaged in all activities related to designing and carving one of a kind carousel figures from scratch.  Volunteer artists are also creating beautiful oil-paintings for display on the carousel’s rounding boards.  The carousel building will resemble a screwpile lighthouse to complement its future waterfront location. Once operating, the Oakland Beach Carousel Foundation will establish a trust, funded through its net profits, to assist in the beautification of Oakland Beach and aid volunteer community groups working to improve their neighborhoods throughout the city and state.  Please explore our website to learn more about our creative process, see our horses and other creatures in progress, and learn more about how you can help us reach our goal!  Be aware that pages with large photo galleries take a moment to load.
